The philosophy of HYPE is to show young athletes how to use their learned skills and use them with their academic studies. HYPE teaches the athletes what it takes to showcase themselves in a professional matter and social standing.
HYPE is the leading principal in showing the student-athletes how to use their skills on the field and in the classroom.
Due to the mission and purposes of all the organizations, they decided to come together and create a combine for NYC high school football talent. Harlem Jets is a youth football and cheer league that is located in Harlem, NY. About U NYC collaborates with student-athletes and their parents to teach the fundamentals of being a scholar and athlete at the same time. IMPCT solutions are behind the HYPE name.
The registration process started at 8 am and closed at 10:30 am at Randall’s Island Park field 70 and 75. Before the start of the event, the organizers mingled and spoked with some of the parents. As the players were parting from the parents, Coach Alex who was one of the founders of this event, talked to the parents about the process of their student-athletes when it comes to preparing them for college. It was explained how the NCAA paperwork must be completed and filed in order for their sons to be qualified.
The purpose of this combine was to showcase talented high school football athletes in NYC while incorporating drills, position skill training, and a 7-7 competition; offensive line vs defensive line on passing and rushing techniques.
There were light refreshments and music in the background as the players moved throughout the training. At the end of the session athletes that were top performers went home with a trophy.
I spent many years on jobs that made a better life for my family. I realized though when life changed for me, I was in search for my purpose.
Hi, my name is Shani Hannah and I am a 44-year-old wife, mother and college student in pursuit of my master’s degree. Currently I am a new media journalism major. I love to write and express my thoughts and views on certain life situations pertaining to education and the community. Recently I had the opportunity to take on a project for a not for project organization named Safe Halls to write their blogs for them. I am excited to take on this project because it gives me the opportunity to share stories on another site.
As you start to evolve into your purpose things start lining up for you. My love for writing and my concern for today’s youth and education has pushed me into new opportunities. As I am starting on my early childhood journey as a teacher aide, I am delving more into the educational issues that plague our children today. Of course, I will talk about schools within my area and district as well as research outside of my community. I not only want to give my sentiments, but I want to also give direct information to keep parents informed, educators, and possibly any authoritative figures who are concerned with the learning curriculum for early childhood, PreK-12 and college students.
This blog is very personal to me because I get to open up about information that a lot of people just might not pay attention to. We have to stay more grounded and involved with what’s happening because education has drastically changed even since I was a little girl. The more you know the better off you are. My hope is that you will gain insight on what is going on in the educational realm along with the community.
Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts let’s talk…
